Guidelines for researchers about including patients in research trials were written in conjunction with Consumers for Ethics in Research (CERES).

This document was also published in a Report by the Parliamentary Committee on Science & Technology after two members of Breast Cancer UK joined many other lay members of cancer organisations in giving evidence to the Committee at an historically groundbreaking open meeting held in 2000.

The Committee's report was entitled 'Cancer Research - a fresh look', and was published by HM Stationery Office in the the same year.
