Act: Global Common Statement

1 June 2012: Breast Cancer UK is calling on world leaders to secure a future in which our health is no longer harmed by exposure to toxic and hazardous chemicals, when they meet at the Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil this month.

Governments across the globe committed to creating a sustainable future at the 1992 Earth Summit. We are supporting the Global Common Statement for a Toxics-Free Future, organized by IPEN and partners, because twenty years later little or nothing has been done to carry out these commitments. Meanwhile, more and more of us are developing breast cancer.

The Global Common Statement will be released to leaders on 11 June 2012.
