Euro-Parliament Identifies Environmental Causes Of Cancer
Breast Cancer UK welcomes the recognition by the EU Parliament of environmental factors as a potential cause of cancer and acknowledges this move as significant progress towards putting primary prevention at the heart of the cancer agenda.
We support the call from MEP Caroline Lucas to the EU Commission and Council to set up an EU Cancer Task Force and to ensure that any prevention policies include reducing occupational and environmental exposure to carcinogens and other substances contributing to the development of cancer.
