Breast Cancer UK disappointed at misuse of charity name

Breast Cancer UK is disappointed to report that the use of their charity name for bogus collections or other fraudulent scams has risen significantly since the start of the recession. See www.artslondonnews.co.uk for a documentary on Zebra Management agency, now known as Guava Talent.

Any type of fraud that uses a charity's name to defraud the public of money causes a double theft; from the member of the public who has given their money willingly and from the Charity, who never receives it. Please take care when asked to give money to charity. Make sure that the collector has a legitimate Collector's licence from the appropriate authority. It is always worth double checking that everything is above board and legitimate.

We are more than happy to confirm to people who enquire which fundraising events/collections are legitimate and approved by us.
