Breast Cancer UK Ambassador Programme

Want to help prevent breast cancer?

By becoming a Breast Cancer UK Ambassador, you can help both women and men reduce their risk of breast cancer.

  • Are you passionate about living a healthy lifestyle?

  • Do you believe more could be done to actually prevent breast cancer – not just diagnose and treat it?

  • Do you want to do more to help your family, friends and local communities live a healthier life?

  • Do you have a few hours to spare each month and want to put it to good use?

If you can say yes to all of the above, then we need you as one of our Breast Cancer UK Ambassadors, to reach out into local communities and help people reduce their risk of breast cancer.

What’s the Breast Cancer UK Ambassador scheme all about?

We focus on breast cancer prevention and we believe much more can be done to highlight the prevention message and help people to reduce their risk of developing breast cancer.

We are recruiting Ambassadors from across the country to offer talks and events in local communities to highlight the risk factors linked to breast cancer and to provide tips on how people can reduce their risk.

What does it take to be a Breast Cancer UK Ambassador?

Above all we’re looking for people like us, who want to help to prevent breast cancer – now and in the future.   You may have had breast cancer yourself, or someone close to you may have had the disease or you may simply want to help people live healthier lives.

You will need to commit around 2-4 hours of free time a month and are willing to go out into your local community to talk about simple ways in which people can reduce their risk, we would love to hear from you.

What support and training will we be given?

Once appointed as a local Ambassador, we’ll invite you to a training day (we hold two a year in May and November in Birmingham as a central location) where we’ll cover everything you need to know and provide you with all the materials you need to take out our message.
