The pandemic has disrupted breast cancer screening services in the UK.  Before service disruptions, a woman was diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 mins.

With fewer screenings, there are fewer diagnoses but breast cancer hasn’t gone away.

It’s time to CHOOSE PREVENTION and support people to reduce their chances of ever getting breast cancer.

COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on our lives.

Many women have delayed getting suspected lumps checked and had subsequent treatments postponed or cancelled. The NHS screening programme was suspended and is currently running at a reduced rate.

Thousands of people could be living with breast cancer and don’t know it.

Yet today we only spend 5% of public health funding on preventing diseases, such as breast cancer. If we’re serious about reducing cases this needs to change.

To make matters worse, investment in medical research has been cut and future funding is expected to fall.

With less money going into research, active prevention is now more important than ever.
