Put the FUN back into FUNdraising

Team up for Breast Cancer UK

Pick your favourite sport, set up a competition and raise money for breast cancer prevention.

Choose any sport from tennis, rounders, cricket to football and invite family and friends to get involved. Ask everyone to make a small donation to enter. The winning team could win 50% of the money raised with 50% being donated to us or you may choose to donate all of it to us here.

Get sporty this summer

If team sports aren’t for you, how about organising a good old-fashioned sports day for some summer fundraising fun with friends and family.  Set up races, including egg and spoon, sack race, three-legged races or an obstacle course. Test your strength with a tug of war. Ask everyone for a small donation to enter with some of the money raised used for prizes and the rest being donated to us here.

Anyone for a round of miniature golf?

For the competitive family, there’s nothing better than a cheeky round of miniature golf to test your sporting ability.  Add some extra competition and see who can get the most holes in one. Ask everyone to make a small donation to enter. The winner could win 50% of the money raised with 50% being donated to us or you may choose to donate all of it to us here.

For the wanna-be pro golfers out there, have you seen out Putt for Prevention campaign?  We’re challenging you to sink a 25ft putt in one.  Could you do it?

Get social this summer

We are all appreciating being able to meet up with friends and family again and enjoy the warmer weather so why not turn time spent together into a fundraising event?

Host a BBQ or picnic and invite your friends and family to come along and make a small donation. You could even incorporate a raffle if you have some unwanted items to giveaway. You can pay in the amount raised easily online here.

Enjoy the summer sun whilst getting fit

The warmer weather gives us all a spring in our step! If you’ve been meaning to start on improving your health and fitness now is your chance. Make the most of the summer sunshine by taking on an exercise challenge and raising money for breast cancer prevention.

The NHS run a fantastic programme called. Couch to 5K which supports you in working your way up to being able to run for five kilometres.

You could take on our Push for Prevention 1000-minute, 30-day exercise challenge to get you active this summer.

Set yourself a challenge, get fit and raise money by setting up a  Just Giving fundraising page and asking friends and family to sponsor you.

The best part is, you’ll be having fun, raising money for breast cancer prevention and building some healthy habits which is proven to help reduce your risk of developing breast cancer. What’s stopping you?!

Garage Safari

One person’s junk is another’s treasure – how about holding a garage sale and clearing out all the junk that’s built up over lockdown (or is that just us!). Better still get the neighbours involved and make it a community event.

Use our poster template to advertise your sale. Make sure you share in local Facebook groups to help spread the word and donate your proceeds here.

Garden Tea Party

The Queen’s not the only one who can host a garden party.  We may not be able to bake cakes and take them into the office right now but how about hosting a socially distanced tea party with your friends and neighbours?

Everyone could bring a cake along and sell slices to raise money, just make sure you follow the latest social distancing guidelines, which you can find here.
