This October, for Breast Cancer Awareness month, we want to encourage everyone to eat healthier food for lunch and in turn help reduce your risk of developing breast cancer.
Making simple swaps to healthier options is an easy way to improve your diet. Our lunch For Life campaign is all about making that easier for you. We’ve joined forces with our friends at Riverford Organic Farmers, Lemonaid and Beeswax Wraps to pull together lots of easy tips and tricks to eating healthier. Check our tips and recipes below.
Science Tip: Watch your weight – Unhealthy eating habits are harmful to health and often lead to a persistent, long-term weight problem. Higher body fat and adult weight gain are well-recognised risk factors for breast cancer for post-menopausal women.
Poor diet in a known risk factor for breast cancer but we need your support to help fund vital research into identifying other risk factors so that we can prevent more people being diagnosed with breast cancer. Donate now to help fund that research.
A donation of just £5 can help us reach out to new mums with educational information and guidance on how they can protect the future health of their children.
A donation of £30 can help provide a Breast Cancer Prevention kit to help our Ambassadors deliver talks, providing healthy lifestyle advice and practical tips that can help people reduce their risk of breast cancer.
Your donation of £100 can help train one of our PhD students, who work on vital research which aims to understand the causes of breast cancer and identify risk factors.
