Bringing breast cancer prevention to your workplace or community 

At Breast Cancer UK, we want to empower people to take preventative action to reduce their risk of developing breast cancer. One way we do this is by offering bespoke prevention talks, whether online or in person.  Our interactive talks are designed to provide you with the key information and guidance on those practical tips for reducing people’s risk.   

Through our experienced team members, together we can arrange a talk that suits your needs, offering flexibility on time, dates and locations.

What’s included in the talks? 

  • An hour-longtalkon breast cancer prevention. (Our talks ordinarily last 45 minutes, with 15 minutes allowed at the end for questions.  Shorter or longer talks can be arranged depending on the number of attendees, the type of event, and any specific requirements you have.)

  • What breast cancer is and what causes it

  • The environmental and chemical causes of the disease, including the impact ofeveryday products and plastics

Who are the talks for?

It is important to us that everyone has access to the information and guidance on how to reduce their risk of developing breast cancer. Therefore, our talks are designed to meet the needs and requirements of a variety of audiences. We will work with you to ensure that the talk is tailored and bespoke to the specific audience group and ensure that together we can provide a valuable experience for those involved.

Breast Cancer UK Prevention Talk bookings – Terms and Conditions 

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings for face-to-face or online Breast Cancer UK talks, made by you (the organisation) with Breast Cancer UK.   

Talk fees 

  • Face-to-face talk £250 (Minimum of 20 attendees) 
  • Online talk £50  (Minimum of 6 attendees) 
  • No fees apply to charities or not-for-profit organisations 

Booking process 

  • Requests for talks should be made using our online form below no later than six weeks before the required date of the talk. 
  • Breast Cancer UK will confirm whether the requested date is available within five days of the enquiry. Please be advised that we are unable to attend face-to-face educational talks for less than 20 attendees. If your expected attendance is less than 20, please consider a virtual talk. 
  • The organisation must confirm the talk booking in writing no later than four weeks before the talk date.   
  • Once confirmation is received, Breast Cancer UK will invoice the organisation for £250 (for face-to-face talks) or £50 (for online talks), with payment due no later than seven days after the talk takes place.   

Cancellation policy 

  • Cancellations made within four weeks of the face-to-face talk will incur a fee of £125.  
  • Cancellations made within two weeks of the talk will incur a fee of £250 (face-to-face) and £50(online).  
  • These charges help cover any non-refundable costs incurred by the charity before the event.    
  • In the unlikely event of Breast Cancer UK needing to cancel or make amendments to the arrangements for your talk due to any unforeseen circumstances, the charity cannot be held responsible for any associated expenses incurred.
