Recruitment specialists, Encore Personnel Services Ltd, raised in excess of £5,000 for Breast Cancer UK, by holding fundraising events throughout 2013.
At the beginning of the year, Encore set themselves a target of raising £10,000 for charity. The employees embraced the challenge and came up with various ways to raise the money, including fancy dress, football tournaments, cake sales, leg waxing, a 'Come Dine with Me' dining evening, a sponsored walk around Cannock Chase and tackling the Three Peaks Challenge.
Encore raised a massive £11,352.81 which the company decided to split between their two chosen charities, Breast Cancer UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Director Chris Hockey said: “At Encore we firmly believe in giving something back. Our employees embraced the challenge and managed to raise well over our target. A big well done to everyone involved!”
Caroline Seddon, Trustee of Breast Cancer UK who attended the cheque presentation event said: "This is a fantastic achievement! We'd like to thank Encore and all their staff for choosing to donate to Breast Cancer UK".
