Silvy has 15 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in various roles within the commercial and medical functions. She is currently the head of the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) function for Europe and New Markets at BeiGene, a biotech company focusing on developing and commercialsing oncology medicines. Silvy’s current role at BeiGene is to generate evidence beyond clinical trials to demonstrate the value of products to external stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals and payers. Silvy has extensive experience in successfully commercialising pharmaceutical products and what is required to bring them to market and ensure wide patient access. Silvy holds an MSc and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford and has spent a brief period as a post-doctoral researcher investigating the effects of various therapeutic targets in multiple sclerosis.
Silvy hopes to bring her commercial and strategic acumen from her years in the pharmaceutical industry as well as her analytical skills on appraising and generating robust and relevant evidence to support the mission and vision of BCUK.
