Yvonne’s career as a Biomedical Scientist spanned over 30 years, working across a large multi-site Hospital Trust in London. Those years were intensive, busy and demanding, and after retiring and moving to West Sussex, she has continued to work within the NHS as a volunteer in the Breast Unit at Worthing Hospital.
Yvonne’s previous experience as a trustee in a large national charity, has well acquainted her with governance and accountability, strategic planning and liaison with stakeholders to understand their feelings and attitudes to the future of their organisation. She fully support the aims and objectives of Breast Cancer UK, and part of the role of a trustee is to ensure the charity they represent plan and develop the ongoing strategy to achieve those aims. Yvonne can offer knowledge, skills, and commitment to this role as she has done throughout her NHS career.
