Salary: Band E - £45,200 - £54,163 (depending on experience)

Hours: 35 per week

Applicants must be UK-based and hold the right to work in the UK

We are seeking an experienced and strategic fundraising leader to shape and implement a high value giving strategy, driving significant income growth across Corporate Partnerships, Major Donors, and Trusts and Statutory fundraising. Initially a 2 year position, this role will develop our understanding of the opportunities Philanthropy presents for Breast Cancer UK, testing approaches and learning what works. There is potential for the role to become permanent should Philanthropy be delivering strong return on investment at the end of the contract period.

Breast Cancer UK has had some success over recent years with Corporate Partnerships and grants, and foundational work has been undertaken to explore the Major Donor Fundraising opportunity. We are now looking for a specialist leader to join us to take this work to the next level - helping us diversify our income and increase our impact. This pivotal role will invigorate our approach to high value fundraising, building on the foundations we have in place and ensuring we have a robust, sustainable roadmap to unlocking the potential of Philanthropy, to drive down breast cancer cases and save lives.

You will have a strong track record in high value fundraising, with significant experience in one or more income streams (Corporate Partnerships and/or Philanthropy are essential, Trusts and Statutory desirable). You will be confident in building a pipeline from scratch, identifying mission-aligned opportunities and developing strong partnerships and relationships. You will enjoy building external relationships, and working collaboratively with colleagues to create opportunities.

You’ll have the support of the Director of Fundraising and Communications, Senior Executive Team and full colleague team to drive this area forward. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone looking for a blend of strategic leadership and frontline fundraising, and keen to make their mark on a rapidly growing charity. We have ambitious plans, a brilliant brand, and we want you to be part of our future.

What we do?

At  Breast Cancer UK we are striving for a world where everyone is empowered to reduce their breast cancer risk. Our mission is to lead a movement to empower individuals, advance scientific research, and reshape policy to reduce breast cancer risk for all. Be part of our team and help us drive the change for the future of breast cancer.
