EDCs: Hiding in plain sight.
EDCs are everywhere.
EDCs are everywhere.
They’re in the food wrapper you opened this morning. The makeup you applied before work. The chopping board you used to make dinner. Our bodies are being flooded with an invisible cocktail of chemicals called EDCs (Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals) that are putting us at greater risk of breast cancer, infertility and obesity.
We all deserve to know what’s hidden in the products we use every day, so we can protect our health and hold companies accountable.
Cancer touches so many of our lives. We're told that around 1 in 2 of us will develop cancer in our lifetimes.
This is not OK.
A movement is growing. We can win.
What can I do?
We shouldn’t have to accept things as they are. With our health at stake, we won’t stop until they’re gone from our lives for good.
We didn’t ask for them, and we don’t have to put up with them.
The science is still evolving, but we know enough to say that we need to act now.

NicolaThe sheer amount of healthy people being diagnosed by cancer seems to be spiralling out of control and if only one cause can be eradicated, it's a start.
MaureenI think we're in for a huge health crisis with these chemicals. I'd advise anyone to sign this as its for our grandchildren's health too.
LynnWe are all at risk, not one person (male or female) can avoid the daily chemical load we are subjected to. It is everyone's responsibility to call this out and to do something to stop this! Whether it is for ourselves, friends or families, or even strangers... it needs to be called out and hopefully regulations are improved or created to stop this.
GinaThere's no argument that clean living brings a huge amounts of benefits to physical and mental health and the environment. We've been so flooded with unhealthy products for convenience and economy that we've become blind to the damage they bring compared to if they never existed. It's too hard a a consumer to navigate the breadth of products and impacts. We need to stamp it out so it's not down to choice. For our children, our grandchildren, mother earth.
Why removing EDCs will make a difference
- EDCs can disrupt hormone systems, especially during sensitive life stages (pregnancy, childhood and puberty).
- They are found in cosmetics (parabens), some flame-retardants in furniture, certain pesticides, and PFAS “forever chemicals”.
- A precautionary approach protects children, families and future generations.
- At least 30% of breast cancer cases are considered preventable.
The change we want to see
We want to see corporations, regulators and the government take action.
There needs to be an enhanced breast cancer prevention plan amongst the UK population by reducing exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) through a UK-wide ban.
Although the challenge is big, we truly believe change is achievable. We can’t do it without people like you. Your even small actions contribute to a much bigger movement that can help protect future generations from ever having to experience a breast cancer diagnosis.
Donate to fund the next scientific breakthrough.
We know enough to say that EDCs are harming our health and should be banned. But with more evidence, we can make it impossible for leaders not to act. Your donation could help fund a research grant at a university; to get the data we need to get regulators to take notice and put protections in place to protect our health.
