Why your body will thank you:
This smoothie is more than just tasty, it’s a powerhouse of goodness:
- High fibre: This smoothie is high in fibre from the fruits and vegetables. A diet high in fibre is increasingly linked to a reduced breast cancer risk.
- Antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables: Carrots and spinach are non-starchy vegetables that are rich in carotenoids (a plant compound responsible for the bright colours of certain fruits and vegetables). Not only is there strong evidence that a diet rich in vegetables and fruits can help to reduce breast cancer risk, but eating non-starchy and carotenoid-rich vegetables may also decrease the risk of breast cancer.
- Daily servings: this smoothie provides over half of your daily recommended "5 a day" of fruits and vegetables.
