We are thrilled to announce our second Breast Cancer Prevention Conference, taking place on the 10 and 11 June 2025 at Middlesex University.
Join us for two days to hear about cutting edge research and inspiring discussions on breast cancer prevention.
Our conference will bring together leading experts to discuss the newest developments in breast cancer prevention, identify potential research gaps and encourage more research into less well-understood risk factors for breast cancer.
This conference is a follow-up to our highly rated inaugural event in 2023. Our 2023 conference report can be found here.
Expand your knowledge on breast cancer prevention. Our conference will feature world-leading speakers who will share groundbreaking insights on the latest advancements in chemical and lifestyle research, as well as interactive discussions, a dedicated poster session and opportunities for networking.
Our talks will comprehensively cover breast cancer risk factors including:
View our draft programme below. Session details will be updated as we approach the conference.
We have an incredible line up of world-class speakers attending from the UK, USA and mainland Europe who will speak on all aspects of breast cancer prevention from environmental chemicals to lifestyle factors.

Researchers have the opportunity to present their work in the form of a poster.
Posters will be displayed from the start of the conference and available to view during all conference breaks, as well as during the drink’s reception at the end of Day 1.
If you wish to present a poster, you are required to submit an abstract by the 11th April 2025.
We are particularly interested in abstracts on the subject of breast cancer prevention but are also accepting abstracts that are on other aspects of breast cancer and on the subject of environmental chemicals
Selected abstracts will then be invited to give a 10-minute presentation during the poster session on Day 1.
For guidelines on abstract submission, please click the button below. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Please note that if you submit an abstract, you also need to register for the conference using the registration link above for your abstract to be accepted.
Breast Cancer UK is very keen to make this conference as affordable for students as possible. We have allocated funds for a student support grant to help with student travel and accommodation expenses.
Students can apply for a maximum of £250 to put towards travel and accommodation expenses only, this will be paid via reimbursement (Breast Cancer UK cannot arrange travel on behalf of the student). This grant will not cover any food or beverage costs.
To be considered for a grant, students must attend both days of the conference and present a poster at the drink’s reception at the end of Day 1. Please refer to the section above for submitting a poster abstract.
If our Student Support Grant is oversubscribed, they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Dr Vandenberg gave an excellent presentation on the effects of environmental chemicals on breasts and the lessons learned from studies from estrogenic endocrine disruptors. #BCPC23
Also, really great session on animal free research from Animal Free Research UK and Dr Elisabth Silva talking about a subject close to my heart. #BCPC23
