In memory giving.
Every gift you give makes a meaningful difference.
"She was the centre of our family. The glue that held us all together."
Ruth was 19 when breast cancer took her mum. You can't undo a loss like that. But you can make sure fewer families ever have to feel it.
An estimated, 1 in 7 women in the UK will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Breast Cancer UK is the only UK charity dedicated entirely to preventing breast cancer.
Every gift, whatever form it takes, goes toward the same goal: a future where fewer mothers, sisters and daughters ever hear those words.
A donation in memory doesn't undo what happened. But it means their story isn't just an ending - it's the reason someone else's family gets to keep theirs.
Ruth was just 19 when her mum died, at the age of 54.“It tore our family apart. In those days it was different. My dad was the breadwinner, and my mum was the person who stayed at home looking after us all. So, you suddenly lose that stability in the home...when she passed away, it completely changed the dynamics of our family. It took us a while to recover from that and to find a new norm; to find a new way of being, where she wasn’t in it.”
Research funded by gifts like these is how we change that story for someone else.
